Zündstoffe-Materialvermittlung Dresden is committed to the basic idea of the circular economy and is part of Konglomerat e. V.. The CoMaking Space and place of joint learning and action has been run collectively and on a voluntary basis by the association since 2015. The "Zündstoffe" workspace is dedicated to the idea that not all waste is the same and that many of the materials produced can be reused or recycled before they end up in the city's landfills. Reuse and recycling can take place in a wide variety of contexts. Unfortunately, in most cases the material donors do not know about the material recipients. In addition to the warehouse in the Rosenwerk, a digital material exchange platform has been developed as part of the "Zukunftsstadt Dresden" project. This provides both an analog space in which to experiment with materials and a digital platform to make the distribution of materials within Dresden more efficient.
Our team currently consists of 13 people. Most of us are still students. We come from different fields, such as urban development, architecture, technical design, the social or cultural sector. What unites us all is the desire to create cycles and establish a more resource-efficient use of materials.
Since 2023, we have been able to establish a mini-job position, which mainly takes care of the organization of workshops and dismantling. Everyone else works on a voluntary basis!
